Good call on sticking with dev for the SMCE Staging envrironment and tags for MCP. I wonder if we could just get rid of the dev branch and use main normally now, relying on tags for releases. Don't need to figure that out now but now that we are not auto deploying it could make sense.

I was wondering the same - that we probably don't need both! If you agree, I think we can make main the default branch of this repository and update this PR to just reference main. And then probably least confusing to also delete the dev branch?

Yeah I think that sounds like a good plan.

Next steps:

  • merge this so dev no long has deploy actions
  • merge Merge dev into main #84
  • update main to be the default branch
  • update this documentation to reflect that we will deploy to SMCE (e.g. smce-staging veda-deploy environment) from the main
  • delete the dev branch

Sorry, something went wrong.
