Hi,
I've detailled the pecl package part, because on my current project hosted on AWS, I was wondering why memcache was marked as recommended.
After some research, and questions on various drupal's slack channels, I've found that memcache was recommended for performances reason when the memcached daemon runs on the same instance than the PHP server, and also if your PHP version is less than 7.
So I think the README.txt need to be updated to share this information.
