I recall we tackled this a few years ago, perhaps in the ill-fated dcp-merge PR.

`cudaMemoryTypeUnregistered` wouldn't be returned on CUDA <11 (that would be an error condition instead).

This is an altenative to #10 which pulls in the
ibverb-supportbranch from ledatelescope. It might be easier to merge.
