Fix default sort option on inital load & slice changing #32

This fixes two minor bugs:

The default sort order was never applied on initial load (only when selecting a slice).
When changing slices, the default sort order was not applied until you hit 'Refresh' although the UI implied it was (the sortButton was being updated).
