This major release:
- expands the host API to allow additional variables (diagnostics) to be tagged for inclusion in snapshots of the model state (e.g., restart files)
- improves performance by testing upon initialization which routines each biogeochemical model implements. For highly modular models, this can decrease runtime by up to 20%.
- deprecates some superfluous pre-FABM-1 constructs and APIs. These will be removed in the next major release (FABM 4).
