Description

Hi.

Flameshot worked perfectly okay until I upgraded to the most recent version (14.0.0). In this version, when I take a screenshot I get to choose which screen to use but then the display is super stretched and I cannot use this as a screenshot.

Here's some details on how these monitors are connected:
I'm running Ubuntu 24 on my laptop and at the office I have connected to my laptop two external USB-C monitors. One of them is rotated 90 degrees (so it's easier to read long documents on it) so each of my three monitors (including my laptop built in monitor) has a different resolution. At home I only have two HDMI monitors connected to my computer (one directly as an HDMI monitor and another one via a USB-C docking station) now, like in the office - one of them is 90 degrees transposed and if I run xrandr --query | grep -E ' connected|[0-9]+x[0-9]+.*\*' this is what I get:

~ xrandr --query | grep -E ' connected|[0-9]+x[0-9]+.*\*'
eDP-1 connected 3840x2400+4920+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 215mm
   3840x2400 60.00*+
DP-1 connected 1080x1920+0+0 right (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 1394mm x 784mm
   1920x1080 60.00*+ 50.00 59.94
HDMI-1 connected primary 3840x2160+1080+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 553mm x 311mm
   3840x2160 60.00* 50.00 59.94 30.00 25.00 24.00 29.97 23.98

I have downgraded to version 13.3.0-1 and I don't see that behaviour there so for the meantime I will use this as a workaround.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Connect multiple monitors to your computer, each one with a different resolution (e.g rotate one of them 90 degrees)
  2. Launch flameshot 14
  3. Take a screenshot
