Hypothetically, if the user were to press 'up' once just to navigate the page, and then decided to do the Konami Code starting with 'up' 'up', the third 'up' will reset the idx. To avoid confusion, the keyCodes are pushed into an array that will shift and push once it reaches length 10. The array is then iterated into a string for comparison.
