Hi! I'm Georgiana (GEO)

Typing SVG

Bucharest, Romania

About Me

I'm a Computer Science & Engineering student at the University of Bucharest (average above 9 in my first two years), drawn to challenging problems that are also genuinely interesting. I pay close attention to detail, and I enjoy learning, experimenting, and understanding new perspectives. I'm curious about what is new in technology, and I learn best by building and by understanding things deeply.

I work mainly with C/C++ and Python, and I've also worked with React, Django REST Framework, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Git, and Linux. Alongside my studies, I'm completing an internship at a company partnered with my faculty, and last year I tutored first-year students in Algebra and Geometry.

I'm increasingly passionate about artificial intelligence. Using AI is something anyone can do today; I want to understand how it works under the hood, from the mathematics and algorithms to how models are built, trained, and evaluated.

Goals

  • Build a machine learning project from scratch and understand every step of it
  • Learn Rust and build a systems project
  • Deepen Java and backend development
  • Contribute to open-source projects

My Approach

When I set a goal, I find a way to reach it.

I learned to find answers on my own: to compare options, question what I find, and always verify what I learn. I don't just want to use technology, I want to understand it deeply and build with it.
