Week 1 Wrap Up
Hello Pioneers 👋!
Congratulations on finishing week 1 of the 4th iteration of the Plutus Pioneer program.
This weekly blog wraps up what you learn each week and gives an outline of the content for next week. We hope that you all enjoyed the first lecture with Lars and the team and had a fantastic learning experience!
Here is a quick recap on the learning outcomes from week 1:
- Understand the logistics for the course and how to interact with other pioneers on Discord
- Set up your development environment using Demeter and Docker Desktop
- Explain what Kuber is and identify the benefits of using Kuber to create a Cardano DApp
- Identify the benefits of using hashing and digital signatures in Cardano
- Describe the EUTxO model
- Explain the advantages that EUTxO adds to Cardano for securing transactions
Our Q & A session took place on February, 28th at 5:00 pm GMT. Please take some time to review the Week 1 Q&A recording.
Are you ready for next week? Let’s take a look ahead to what you will learn:
- Low-level, untyped validation scripts
- Using the Cardano CLI to interact with Plutus
- High-level, typed validation scripts
- You’ll also receive your first coding homework!
Remember that you can follow all the lectures on the IOG Academy YouTube channel and the 4th iteration Playbook, where you will find additional learning resources and links to the resources presented in each lesson.
We encourage you to interact with the participants of the PPP through the IOG technical community on Discord by joining the channels under the Plutus Pioneers category.
If during the program you have questions about Plutus, we invite you to share them on Cardano Stack Exchange (CSE) by adding the plutus-pioneer-program
tag to your question. Members of the IOG Education team will monitor these questions regularly to support your learning journey. Whenever you share a question at CSE, you're helping to build up the Cardano and Plutus development knowledge base.
Thank you for your efforts this week and we look forward to bringing you more learning content next week!
