Full details about the creation of the initial conditions used to run
the FLAMINGO simulations can be found in Section 2.4 and appendix B of
The initial conditions were generated by a modified version of
the `MonofonIC code
<https://ascl.net/2008.024>`__ that implements the effects of massive neutrinos.
The code is available `on github
<https://github.com/wullm/monofonic>`__.

All simulations in a given volume use the same phases in the initial conditions,
allowing objects to be matched between models.

including the phases used to generate them,
