Save index of config that was selected in NS_samples file. Should be useful, with
clone_history, to reconstruct equivalent un-parallelized NS sequence, including population at each iteration, at least if all configs are saved.Also add
snapshot_save_oldglobal param, and append to truncated existing clone history file in restarts
