I think that's a good idea in general, but I'd be careful changing the uri() function in this way, because there might be legacy applications that would expect uri() to return whatever the parser finds in "GET / HTTP/1.1" without factoring in the additional Host header. How about we offer a new method like uri_abs() to implement the new behavior and leave uri() intact?
