There's https://github.com/niochat/nio/blob/stable/Resources/AppIcon/attribution.txt in the Resources folder. However, it doesn't say to which icons it applies. Plus, there are many "chat" icons in the Noun Project. see commit.

given the hiatus notice in the readme, i would call it obsolete.

It's really in a grey area since obsolete would mean no longer maintainer which isn't what a hiatus is. This open the question: "Should the maturity level be linked to the project maintenance status?"

we need to more clearly define the maturity status overall, #1584
so far we have been using obsolete to include "this has probably bit rotted away"
