I’m a Backend Engineer and Intelligent Systems enthusiast who thrives in high-energy environments where the stakes are high and the tech stack is deep. My journey has taken me from the control rooms of nuclear power plants to the fast-paced world of NYC startups - post-acquistion a part of corporate.
Most recently, I've been focused on designing microservices and managing complex integrations (Keycloak) within Django and Kubernetes environments. I have a soft spot for clean architecture and agile methodologies—I believe code should be as elegant as it is functional.
I’m fascinated by how we can use machines to understand the human mind. My Master’s thesis focused on Visual Attention Modeling for individuals with Alzheimer’s, using neural networks to predict where a person looks. I am also a huge fan of efficient code and algorithms.
- The Go-To: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and Celery (learning some Rust).
- The Toolbox: Apache Airflow, Helm, ArgoCD, Keycloak, and Docker.
- The Foundation: Background in IT Security, Energy Systems.
When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me chasing a different kind of "peak"—whether that’s hiking, swimming, or weightlifting. I’m a big believer that a heavy session at the gym is the best way to debug a heavy day of coding.
