InVer (Intentional Versioning) is a framework for deriving and coordinating versioning across multiple strategies and scopes. The name carries a deliberate double meaning: Intentional Versioning — because version numbers are derived from classified decisions rather than assigned arbitrarily — and Internal Versioning — because the richest version signal is maintained internally, separate from the simplified external presentation. This dual role is architectural, not cosmetic.
SemVer communicates compatibility boundaries. InVer communicates change density.
InVer is a framework, not a scheme. Its derivation engine is independent of any specific external versioning convention.
