this is branched ontop of #740 and with the other few open PRs will likely require some rebasing.
We don't have a wgpu-native release yet, but there is a branch that updates wgpu-core to v26 which I compiled locally and started this work: gfx-rs/wgpu-native#509
I should note that
webgpu.h
is very much out of sync and will likely require a lot more changes, there is also a PR for that: gfx-rs/wgpu-native#511Some working changes:
