Since we removed support for Apache Derby from hibernate-core in ORM 7.0 for the same reason, I approve of this change :)
Note that we moved all Derby related stuff into hibernate-community-dialects, so it's still available, but the Hibernate ORM team simply doesn't bother to regularly test and support the dialect.

Let's do it and we can revive it as a Quarkiverse extension if someone is willing to maintain it, despite Derby being retired.
