This extension allows you to control the YouTube HTML 5 player using keyboard shortcuts without the need to switch to the YouTube tab. If you have more than one YouTube tabs opened, you can use the dashboard [Alt + K] to gain quick access to all of the opened YouTube tabs. Using the dashboard you can also close tabs that you do not need anymore.

Shortcuts:

  • [Alt + P]: toggle play/pause or if the video has ended play it again
  • [Alt + H]: previous video in the playlist if playlist is available
  • [Alt + L]: next video in the playlist if playlist is available
  • [Alt + K]: open the dashboard

Screenshots:

  • the dashboard, you can use the buttons to control the player. The vertical slider controls the volume and the horizontal seeks through the video. Have in mind that you cannot seek further than what is currently buffered. (I am opened to suggestions how to do that)
