  • Adding An Item
  • Press the plus button at the top right
  • Remember to fill out all the fields!

Editing An Item's Info

  • Press the pencil icon in the cell
  • Make changes, press "no", confirm.
  • IMPORTANT: this is not the same as logging. this only edits basic info.

Logging an Item

  • Press the pencil icon in the cell
  • Select a date for the log to correspond to.
  • IMPORTANT: Change the quantity of the item to be the quantity at the END of your selected date.
  • Even if you reorder an item, your log should be the FINAL quantity for the day.
  • You can also edit item info while logging.

Deleting Item(s)

  • Press the trash can icon
  • Confirm deletion
  • To remove multiple items, check them off then press the minus button.

Reorders

  • It is best to log all reorders through the box button on the edit popup (show picture of it).
  • While Kettlelog can automatically detect reorders through logs, actually logging it yourself will give you more accurate results.
  • Example:
  • Let's say that today you had 10 gloves and tomorrow a reorder arrives of 7, giving you 17 total. you then use 5 more tomorrow, giving a final total of 12.
  • If you only log 10 today and 12 tomorrow, our algorithm will think you reordered 2.
  • If you use the reorder button and log a reorder of 7, you will get the most accurate info!

Other Important Points

  • Kettlelog only updates your quantity after reorders
  • For example:
  • Let's say today is August 26th, and your last log was August 24th.
  • On August 24th, you logged that you have 100 of a certain item, and your average consumption is 5/day.
  • We are NOT going to assume you now have 90! We assume you still have 100, even on the 26th.
  • We will update your quantity if your most recent log is a reorder, however.

There is a lot here. You don't need to do everything, but the more the better!
