Hello internet-friend!

I'm a software engineer and product designer based in Cape Town, South Africa.

I general find myself within the worlds of front-end development, product design, managing of communities and mentoring others.

Currently:

  • 👪 Administrative Director at Front-end Development South Africa (FEDSA), a non-profit organisation (NPC #: 202015998708) acting as an administrative umbrella for various projects that facilitate sharing of knowledge between practitioner and aspiring practitioner within the South Africa field of front-end development .

  • 📈 UI Engineering Lead at Palmetrics, a SaaS platform that connects to Takealot as means to provide merchants with actionable data analysis, filters and programmable alerts.

  • 🛸 Co-administrator at ZA Tech, a 15 000+ member Slack workspace used by the South Africa tech community at large, and it's sister workspace ZA Product Design.

  • 👕 Product Design Lead at Pattern, a SaaS platform used by several large South Africa retailers in order to analyse and manage stock.

  • 🧠 Co-host of Mental Health in Tech mhit.org.za with Schalk Neethling, a podcast about honest discussion around difficulty topics related to mental health in the tech industry.
