My RPi with HASS.io became unbootable again (sdcard fiasco) and I decided to look into installing HA on some available elderly laptop and wondered about using podman -- googled myself into your setup. Seems quite nice -- thanks for sharing!
Spotted a typo - decided to "contribute" ;)

I personally introduced it to dozens if not hundreds of projects already and so far only positive feedback.
CI workflow has 'permissions' set only to 'read' so also should be safe.
