We aim to do two things.

1. Compare the networks of partnership in two EU funded research programmes, called 7th Framework Programme 2007-2015 (FP7) and Horizon 2020 2014-2020 (H2020). The raw data for this part are retrievable from the European Commission's open data website:

• https://open-data.europa.eu/en/data/dataset/cordisfp7projects
• https://open-data.europa.eu/en/data/dataset/cordis-h2020projects-under-horizon-2020-2014-2020

2. Produce recommendation for the European Commission on how to release this type of data in the future so as to enable reuse and civic hacking.

The work started as a hackathon track of SOD16, the fourth gathering of the Spaghetti Open Data community.
