tmllull/README.md

👋 Hi there, I'm Toni Miquel Llull

Python Docker FastAPI n8n

I'm a Software Developer, currently focused on Python (but with other languages backgorund, like Java, PHP, JS or Bash), with a strong expertise on automation, observability, and software quality. I believe that great engineering lies at the intersection of clean code, thoughtful design, and reliable infrastructure — and I enjoy working across that entire stack.

Whether I'm implementing CI/CD pipelines, building microservices with FastAPI, or spinning up test environments on my homelab, I’m always looking for ways to improve both systems and workflows.

🛠️ What I do (currently)

  • Design and develop backend solutions in Python
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and more
  • Work with tools like n8n, InfluxDB, Grafana, and Docker for observability, automation, and monitoring
  • Advocate for clean code and continuous quality throughout the development lifecycle

I’m also experienced in mentoring and teaching, especially in areas like Backend development, DevOps practices, observability strategies, and requirements negotiation in agile environments.

🧪 Projects & Playground

A significant part of my learning comes from experimentation (and from my "free-time"). Over time, I’ve built and maintained a homelab powered by more than 30 Docker containers — including services like:

  • Centralized authentication with LDAP and SSO
  • Custom VPN setup
  • Various home automation and smart home projects
  • Dashboards and metrics pipelines for personal observability use cases, from server monitoring to health/wellness

These hands-on experiences have taught me more than any book or course ever could, and they've become an integral part of how I learn and explore new technologies.

💡 Why I love coding

To me, programming is about freedom — the freedom to create nearly anything from nothing. Every project brings something new to learn, and there's a unique sense of satisfaction in building something entirely from scratch. That constant discovery is what keeps me hooked.

🏃 Outside the terminal

When I’m not coding or experimenting with infrastructure, you’ll probably find me out training for a triathlon.

Sports — especially triathlon — help me clear my mind and tackle complex challenges, both personal and professional, with focus and discipline.

I’m also passionate about reading and photography, two hobbies that complement my technical side with creativity and perspective.
