Auto-Update System & Version Display
We've introduced an automatic update system that makes getting the latest version of JAMS seamless and simple:

• Automatic Update Detection: JAMS now checks for new versions when launched
• Background Downloads: Updates download automatically without interrupting your work
• Install Notifications: You'll be notified when updates are ready to install
• One-Click Installation: Simply click "Install Now" when prompted to update
• Version Display: The current version is now displayed in the app for easy reference and support

Package Size Optimization
We've significantly improved the application package:

• Reduced Application Size: The installer is now approximately 709MB (down from 2.55GB)
• Faster Downloads: The smaller file size means quicker downloads for new users
• Improved Performance: Better application packaging for smoother startup
• Reduced Storage Impact: The app now takes up less space on your computer

System Requirements

• macOS: 10.14 or later
• Disk Space: At least 500MB free space for the application and updates
• JAMS Dependencies: R 4.0+ and required R packages

Additional Notes

• JAMS will check for updates only when launched in production mode
• Updates install on application restart
• Your settings and data will be preserved during updates
