Thanks! While Ubuntu 20.04 and Fedora 41 are clearly EoL, I am wondering about Debian 11, which still is in LTS until August 2026 and only then entering the ELTS phase.

What do you think, should we keep Debian versions as long as their LTS phase goes, or do we assume that those using it for the full LTS period (or even ELTS) also take care of pinning an older Puppet module release?

Has some guidance but actually I'm still not sure.

Leave here and hopefully someone will pipe up.

I think you are correct though, I am too quick. Will update later.

@traylenator Thanks for the link! Indeed, that is helpful — while the text and linked web sources are not explicit about it, checking the puppet_metadata, i.e.:
https://github.com/voxpupuli/puppet_metadata/blob/master/data/eol_dates.json
I find that for Debian 11, the EoL of the LTS is used, i.e. end of August 2026. Fedora 41 and Ubuntu 20.04 are also EoL by that list, so that matches.

Remove support for

    Fedora 41
    Ubuntu 20.04

which are both EOL.
