It is arguably a breaking change, but the current value is non-functional, so I labelled this "bug" and IMHO that can be part of the next patch release. |

FreeBSD now ships Python 3.11 as the default python version and Python packages target this version. Sync with these new defaults so that the module works out-of-the box on FreeBSD.
