Push.Foo - Web Push API Playground

Test your Web Push API experience in this sandbox that simulates the entire flow from requesting permission to sending the notification.

This is a 3-in-1 project:

  1. A real product for developers to help with understanding how Web Push API works.
  2. A real-world demo and a playground for Web Push API.
  3. Proof of concept for a Progressive Web App (PWA) driven by Workbox-powered service worker.

Web application (installable, offline-ready)

Push.Foo - Web Push API Playground

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
