(Likely need feedback/verification before merging)
Contains installation instructions and credits.
I've tried my best to list everything for the credits but I'm probably missing things since it can be hard to take a look at a lot of commits in a lot of languages, feel free to point anything wrong in need of a fix.
There was a request in the Discord server for specifying a license for the repositories when possible, but I don't think that it will be possible for this one, since the assets are derived work from a game where the license is unclear. Thus, outside of personal use/use for YNOproject, if someone wants to use assets from this repository for another project, you would probably need the authorization from the author of the selected translation.

I'm not the author of the Yume Nikki translation. The actual translator are, most likely, someone "fokifox", whose credit can be found in NASU minigame. Their translation, most likely, was found on steam guides page and then adjusted by notdistorted (yugamineena) to the EasyRPG translation format.

I just updated the pull request with this info, thanks! The translation seems to have been added by lychees back when the project launched but doesn't seem to match 100% with fokifox's Russian translation available on itch.io, so maybe it is outdated on YNOproject/changes were done by someone else than them, this may need to be checked.

It looks like this was forgotten about but I do think that a README is a great idea for this project, especially if instructions were included on how someone could contribute and make translations for games.
And on a sort of unrelated note, would it ever be considered to allow for people to contribute translations for YNFGs outside of just the ones on YNO? It would be nice to have a complete repository to allow for people to translate any fangame, for example if one translated Yume Aruki (ゆめあるき), the translated EasyRPG files could go here just like any other YNO translation, potentionally even allowing YNO to use the files into the future if it's ever decided to add the game. Maybe this is already a possibility and it just isn't stated and hasn't been implemented in any way for this project, but your reply on #64 makes me think otherwise:

Since the handling of files and rules for translating Yume 2kki are intimately tied to the state of the game and that we have to respect the developer's wishes, the assets that got removed would need to be removed from this pull request too. I'm truly sorry for that.

Either way, whether or not this is a possibility should be clearly stated in the README.

Maybe a more improved video tutorial could be included as well, Volvulus' video works but it could definitely be expressed more clearly and concisely, as they even say themselves that they just threw the video together quickly, and they also made some strange choices that could either be done differently or require explanantion, such as putting the RTP files directly into the 2kki folder itself (this is confusing and unnecessary and also doesn't allow for other YNFGs to use the files).

Yeah, the main thing is that since it was more or less waiting here, I stopped updating it for a while leading to it not being up to date. I guess including instructions on contributing and creating could be useful too, since for now in the YNOproject Discord I've been mainly redirecting to messages I wrote on all that without having a clear documentation. I suppose I could give a shot to updating it properly and adding contribution info in the upcoming weeks (a bit busy this week for that), and I suppose I could also check EasyRPG/Player#3348 since some new features are planned to be added for translations. Also, perhaps documenting a bit more for OneShot since we're using a special version that is as of now only accessible through the Discord.

Main thing is that if we were to do that, this would still require the authorisation of the author of the game, author of the translation, see if we're okay with said game/translation/individuals tied to the game/translation be here (wouldn't want content that would go against the values of YNOproject, basically), determine which games/platforms are authorised (with the current system, I suppose it would be Yume Nikki fangames made on RPG Maker 2000/2003 only, in addition to the games hosted on YNOproject which may or may not be Yume Nikki fangames), see if there's an interest in all of that... so a lot of factors to take into account. In addition to that, - and you may say it's a stretch from my side -, but you could think that if someone making a Yume Nikki fangame on RPG Maker 2000/2003 is okay with having translations be made and shared for their games here, they wouldn't necessarily be against having their game be hosted on YNOproject, meaning that in the end it would still end up being a translation pack for games hosted on YNOproject.

Either way, whether or not this is a possibility should be clearly stated in the README.

As of now, in the current state of the README, it's indirectly mentioned in the first line: "Repository to host translations for the games present on YNOproject". Perhaps making it a bit clearer would be better if you think so, though this would require to determine the direction we want for now first.

Thing is about the RTP stuff, is that I'm starting from the idea that you're a bit used to installing RPG Maker 2000/2003 games, and that you're only here to get and apply the translations to games you already are able to play offline. I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing to cover all of that, though, could give it a shot at some point.

Will take a shot at updating the readme in the upcoming weeks, in any case, so thank you very much for the feedback!

…ective Unconscious

- Fix the EasyRPG Player line to be a bit clearer
- Move the credits of translations that are made by the author(s) of their game at the bottom of the list to be clearer and give more explanations there

Sorry for doing PRs inside of PRs but I added some of what we talked about in ynoproject/pull/181 since you said you'll be busy and I figured it would be easier to just get everything down and then worry about other issues later, since now you can just post this in the Discord and have people give feedback on stuff like the credits and also allow other people to potentionally improve this in the meantime. Sorry if it feels like this is rushing you though, feel free to ignore this until you have time to work on this if it's too much to ask for now.
