3. weekly report

Verna Koskinen edited this page Dec 17, 2015 · 1 revision

Weekly report is meant for describing your progress throughout the week, problems you've encountered etc. The purpose of the reports is to allow both the student and instructors to be on the same page on how the project is making progress. You should also plan a bit what you will be doing next week. You should return the weekly report even if you have made no progress during the week and just say so in the report. On the last week of the course, you will need to write a final report with summary of your progress and self evaluate your project. Returning the reports is mandatory, but you will get no points for late submissions.

##Example

###Week 1.

My plan is to build a face recognizing robot, with a web camera attatched on top of it. I started planning the structure of the robot, which turned out to be more difficult than expected. With my first version, the cogwheel turning the camera was under too much strain and in the current wersion it seems a bit too loose. I'm trying to create some tension with rubber bands. I manage to install OpenCV and did soem test on how it can be used for face recognition. Next week I plan to get the recognition to work and improve the structure of the robot itself.
